“Oh Dreidel Dreidel Dreidel… They Made a Special Few… and now that they are ready… those Dreidels Will Do Some Good…”
Our Seventh Grade students are selling their handmade mosaic dreidels at ChanukahMania this Sunday, December 18th from 9 -11:30 am. The dreidels will sell for $18 each, the proceeds of which will go to these charities chosen by the students:
The Nikhil Badlani Foundation, which is a local charity started to remember 11 yr. old Nikhil, who was killed last year in a car accident. The Foundation’s focus is to provide music instruction; support to the West Orange Scholarship Fund; and educate locals about traffic safety.
The Worldwide Orphans Foundation: whose mission is to transform the lives of orphaned children and help them to become healthy, independent, productive members of their communities and the world.
The dreidels were made during the Seventh Grade Kristallnacht remembrance, the Night of Broken Glass that began the Holocaust. This was a creative way for our students to give honor to that night by creating beautiful artwork that would be used to benefit others.
