From Janet Schwamm: Thank you so much for all of your hard work and heavy lifting and kindness and assistance in making it possible to help so many people. We could not have been so successful without each one of you (and all the friends and family that you brought along or who contributed in whatever way). Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Please feel free to pass these thanks along to anyone who you told about this project who’s email addresses that I do not have.
Wishing you and your families a wonderful holiday season filled with health, happiness and the love of family and friends. Janet
From Hope Pomerantz: It was an amazing morning for all of us. Several temples and churches all joining together to help more than 130 families enjoy a holiday they would not otherwise have this way. I’m proud to be a part of a temple that had so many volunteers there, including Rabbi Miller and Mindy Schreff, along with their kids of all ages. Kudos to Janet Schwamm once again. This really is what holidays are all about.
From Diane Stein, the overall Coordinator for the Interfaith Food Pantry of the Oranges: Thanks so much to all the volunteers who helped us provide food, holiday meals, clothing and gifts to over 156 needy families for a total of 580 individuals – 272 Adults, 286 Children and 22 Seniors from Orange and East Orange. That thanks goes out to all who donated food and other items, to those who transported the donated goods, and to all who worked tirelessly this morning to make our holiday distribution a huge success. We had mountains of toys, books, clothes etc.
Our next food pantry date will be Jan 18th. We will be joined by students from the Golda Och Academy Mitzvah Day .Details to follow in Jan. I hope everyone is having a Happy Hanukkah- Thanks for your continued support of the Interfaith Food Pantry.
