New Members of TSTI gathered Sunday morning to get acquainted with each other at a breakfast hosted by the Membership Committee. As is typical of the TSTI congregation, members came from Maplewood, South Orange, West Orange, and Short Hills. Welcoming the new members were Rabbis Dan Cohen and Ellie Miller, Temple President Jay Rice, and Religious School Director Mindy Schreff. The new members were encouraged to get involved in temple life by joining a committee or group. Janet Schwamm signed-up volunteers for the Interfaith Food Pantry of the Oranges. Ben Deutsch talked about Religious School Board, and Lisa Levine described Women’s Connection events. New Members also received contact information for many of the temple’s other initiatives and social action programs, and were reminded about the many ways TSTI communicates with its members, including Facebook, Twitter, and our new TSTI App.
