Dear Parents,

Chag Sameach!  Hope your family has enjoyed the fall holidays.  Our classes are in full swing and we are excited to have the year under way.  Your children are amazingly insightful, eager to learn and are a lot of FUN!  Please check our website and monitors in the temple lobbies for an ongoing array of photos of amazing school happenings.

Although Jewish learning is our focus, your child’s safety is of our utmost concern, so please note the following:

  • Please make sure we have the most up to date emergency contact, allergy and health information for your child.
  • If your child needs an EPI-PEN, they MUST carry it on their person at all times.
  • Please remember we are a NUT-FREE school, please ask the teacher before you send in snacks for the class.
  • For early dismissal, please park on Montrose and walk into the office. If you park along the back of the building you risk a ticket from the Fire Dept.  Please come to the office to sign your child out and a teen aide will go to their classroom and bring them to you.
  • All students are dismissed out of the plaza near the sanctuary and must be met there by parents if you walk to pick them up.  No student is to walk down the driveway without an adult.

Thank you for helping to keep all our students safe when they are with us.  Check out the mitzvah counter below!  Your children are amazing people~   L’Shalom, Mindy ____________________________________________________________________________________________

NEW! Spiritual Drumming for MEN

Oct. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 at 7:00pm

Facilitated by Cantor Aronson

Through drumming and chanting (no musical skills necessary) and utilizing Jewish sources, the course will explore issues of mindfulness: which is about being “present” with ourselves and our own inner experiences. Mindfulness reduces stress and anxiety, and helps focus the mind. Bring your own rhythm instrument or use ours. For more info or to RSVP contact: thorwitz@tstinj.org.

 We are asking families to

bring one non perishable food item

to be donated to the

Interfaith Food Pantry of the Oranges located just a few miles away in Orange.
