Yossi Klein Halevi is a senior fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem, a contributing editor of the New Republic and a frequent contributor to the op-ed pages of leading American newspapers. His book, Like Dreamers: The Story of the Israeli Paratroopers Who Reunited Jerusalem and Divided a Nation, will be published this month. Please RSVP to Tracy Horwitz. “Organizing is Academic! The ABCs to Getting Your Student Organized”

Shabbat, Scholar and Supper

Women’s Connection Walking Tour of the East Village

Nosh on foods from many areas of the world as Ellen Blake leads us on a tasting tour through the East Village, followed by a guided tour with an expert on the Yiddish theatre and the history of the Jews in the East Village.  $55 for Women’s Connection members, $65 non-members;  includes food, the guide and bus transportation. If you can’t attend the rehearsals, don’t let that stop you from participating.  


Email Sheryl Harpel and indicate if you are interested in the chorus and/or the service, and if you are comfortable reading a Hebrew part.  If you would like a chance to read from the Torah or give a D’var Torah, tell us that too.  Please consider participating and recruiting your friends as well.
